MTSS

KHS is once again implementing Reading MTSS this school year, as well as adding Math MTSS. The purpose of these programs is to provide support for students in reading and math, targeting specific areas that have been identified through multiple screenings and observations. Students will work in small groups during seminar on activities designed to help them with their specific needs. Students will undergo continual monitoring to determine their progress, with the goal of them exiting the MTSS program. Ultimately, we want to help students become better readers and increase their math skills, and we are excited to offer this these programs. We are in the process of determining the student groups by their skill level and placing them with the appropriate teacher. We have obtained some excellent resource and age-level appropriate student material to engage our students in this endeavor.
